Blowtorch Brings the Heat: A Fiery Look at the ALL NEW G.I. Joe Classified Series Figure

Story by Mitchell Smith

Welcome to The Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the brand new G.I. Joe Classified Blowtorch. 1982 and 83 had great success and 1984 gave the gang at Hasbro power to really develop some cool characters like Recondo who I got as a birthday gift and Wild Weasel and the Rattler.

Blowtorch was one character who really stood out with his orange and yellow suit. I did not have him as a kid but he was a great character. Blowtorch’s file says he is a flamethrower and his specialty is listed as an infantry special weapons. Although the flamethrower was banned on using against personnel there are still uses for the flamethrower.

I picture Blowtorch and Barbecue working to bring down structures. This Classified figure really catches the original cartoon character toned down a hair. This is a really nice figure and I hope you all enjoy. Make sure to check back next week for the next discussion at The Outpost.
